The Nelson County Landfill recycles all scrap metal coming in to the facility. This saves valuable landfill space. Residents can bring any metal or appliances(refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, water heaters, stoves) to the landfill at no charge.
Note: We do not pay for scrap metal
